The mining industry has loads of equipment that is used to increase production and mineral resources. There are two categories that divide these different types of equipment, namely Surface Mining & Underground Mining. We will look at the equipment that is available to supply for Surface Mining usages.
HEAVY SURFACE EQUIPMENT
1. BLASTHOLE DRILLS
A mining machine used to drill holes into the surface in preparation for placing explosives.
2. Bucket-Wheel Excavators
Used in open-pit mining, Bucket-Wheel Excavators are mining tools that continuously dig, transport, and load materials.
3. Dragline Excavators
One of the largest pieces of land mining equipment used in mining, or any industry, Dragline Excavators are used in strip mining to remove overburden. They are massive bucket systems attached to large booms and dragged across the surface of the earth for excavation.
4. Graders
Graders are used to create viable roads for mining trucks so they can transport minerals out of the mine.
5. Highwall Liners
These are mining machines that extract coal from exposed seams. They rotate up and down a wall, grinding mineral deposits out of the walls and are also used for trench mining
6. Mining Trucks
Mining trucks are essentially large dump trucks used for mining. Various types of new developed autonomous mining trucks use both LiDAR and radar to freely move around a mining site
7. Shovels
Shovels are used for digging and to extract broken rocks and minerals.
8. Wheel-Tractor Scrapers
Wheel tractor scrapers are another earth-mover operators and have the capability to load and carry materials.
9. Dozers
Dozers are another form of earth-movers that drag dirt from one area to another but unlike scrapers, they are incapable of loading and carrying materials.
Our supplies also include but not limited to:
- Hoppers: Supply conveyor belts specified amount of ore and waste at specified rates.
- Stacker: Used to pile bulk materials onto a stockpile and can also carry oversized material to a tailings pile.
- Reclaimers: Set on rails, these are used to collect and transfer materials between stockpiles.
- Crushers: Crushers break down large rocks into small rocks, gravel, sand, and rock dust. Common crushers include, cone, jaw, impact and mineral size crushers
- Feeders: used to transfer rough materials into a crusher. Also used to feed material from a crusher to a hopper, unload a rail cart, or feed materials into a storage bin.
